I wanted to take a moment to explain what ExoTopia is and why it means so much to me.

For as long as I can remember, I've had a passion for reptiles. Leopard geckos were actually my first reptile, and over the years that passion only continued to grow. Through keeping reptiles, learning about them, improving husbandry, and helping others, I realized there was something missing. There needed to be a place that focused not only on the animals themselves, but also on the people who genuinely care about them.

That's how ExoTopia was created.

More Than Just a Store

ExoTopia isn't just a brand or a store. It's a community built around education, responsible reptile keeping, rescue, and helping reptiles live the best lives possible.

Everything we do comes back to one simple idea: reptiles deserve more than just survival. They deserve the opportunity to thrive.

One thing that's very important to me is encouraging keepers to go beyond the bare minimum. As care standards continue to improve, it's our responsibility as keepers to continue learning and improving alongside them. That's why you'll find care guides, educational resources, rescue stories, and opportunities to learn throughout ExoTopia.

Why Education Matters

One of my biggest goals with ExoTopia is helping people feel confident in their reptile care.

When I first started keeping reptiles, information wasn't always easy to find, and a lot of what was considered "correct" years ago is now outdated. Husbandry continues to evolve, and I believe we should always be willing to learn more and do better for our animals.

Whether you're a brand new keeper or someone with years of experience, I hope the information shared here helps you create an environment where your reptiles can truly thrive.

Our Rescue Mission

As many of you know, I am incredibly passionate about reptile welfare.

Throughout my journey as a keeper, I've seen reptiles neglected, surrendered, abandoned, and forgotten. While I can't help every reptile in the world, I can do my part to make a difference where I can.

That's a huge part of why ExoTopia exists.

Every rescue reminds me why education and proper husbandry matter so much. The better informed we are as keepers, the better lives we can provide for the animals that depend on us.

Rescue Months

Throughout the year, we host ExoTopia Rescue Months.

During these months, we focus on specific goals such as:

• Enclosure upgrades
• Food and supply costs
• Veterinary and medical expenses
• Habitat improvements
• Preparing for future rescues

I always want to be transparent about what we're working toward and where support goes. My goal isn't simply to ask for support, but to show exactly how that support is making a difference.

Every contribution, no matter how big or small, helps move us one step closer to helping more reptiles in need.

A Community First

Most importantly, I want ExoTopia to be a place where people feel comfortable asking questions, sharing experiences, and learning together.

Nobody knows everything, and we're all continuing to learn as standards improve. Some of the best conversations I've had have come from people asking questions and genuinely wanting to improve the lives of their animals.

If I can help even one person improve the life of their reptile, then everything I'm building here is worth it.
